APACHE on BS2000/OSDAPACHE 2.2A00Details and Documentation
The following components are contained in APACHE (BS2000/OSD) 2.2A00:
Perl, the scripting language, is available as a separate package and can be used independently from Apache. Please note: if you use Perl in combination with Apache you have install it before Apache. Documentation
The following online documentation for Apache and its components is available.
System EnvironmentRequirements Software Configuration - Supported Versions:
Correction Releases needed:
The subsystem DIV (part of POSIX-GA), which manages "Shared Memory", must be running. For dynamic loading at least BLSSERV 2.6 is needed. A prerequisite for using the optional SESAM interface in PHP is SESAM 5.0; prerequisite for using the optional Oracle interface in PHP is Oracle 10g; prerequisite for using the optional JAVA Servlet support is (at least) JENV 5.0; prerequisite for using the optional mod-perl functionality is the installation of PERL 5.8A00 (before installing Apache). Space Requirements
For a meaningful operation of Apache we recommend a machine with a main memory >=256 MB. The minimum requirements amount to 150 MB virtual memory (for the default configuration with 5 child processes). With increasing workload of the Apache server additional memory is needed. (The separate child processes may need additional memory plus you will need >=25 MB virtual memory for each child process started. For best performance there should be as much memory as possible available as "real memory".) Please refer to the Release Notes V2.2A00 and the README-Datei File V2.2A00 for further details. |
