Job Variables View

To view the job variables defined on a BS2000 connection select and open the connection in the BS2000 Explorer view and open the BS2000 Jobs view (to be opened via command link Window > Show View > Other... > BS2000 > BS2000 Job Variables).

This view is context sensitive. It shows the results of the /SHOW-JV-ATTRIBUTES command executed on the connected BS2000 system which is selected in the BS2000 Explorer view. The view can be pinned to a selection via the pin button in the view's tool bar.

You can decide whether system job variables ($SYSJV) should be shown as well by clicking the button in the view's tool bar.

To refresh the view press F5 or click the refresh button in the view's tool bar.

Reading the contents of job variables is postponed until demanded. To view their contents click the button in the view's tool bar. Then the contents of all job variables will be read (via command /SHOW-JV) and displayed in printable format as well as hexadecimal.

The context menu for a selected job variable offers the following actions:

The dialog box to edit the contents of a job variable allows you to select a range you wish to replace by new contents. The new contents can be entered either directly in printable format or hexadecimal X'...'.
