Configuring a connection to a BS2000 system

In the BS2000 Explorer view's tool bar press Define a connection to remote system Define a connection to BS2000 or open the context menu on empty point in BS2000 Explorer, and select New > Connection. In the New Connection wizard you must specify the following:

  1. Enter the name of your BS2000 system or its IP address as Net host name.
  2. Enter the name of your BS2000 user ID in BS2000 user ID.
  3. If generic is checked, the Connection name is build from the net host name and the BS2000 user ID, like <host-name>/$<user-id>. You are free to enter another name. This is possible when unchecking generic.
  4. Optionally you can enter a Description.
  5. For now it suffices to press Finish to create your connection. When pressing Next > you might configure your BS2000 connection, see Properties of a BS2000 connection.

Now the new connection will appear in the BS2000 Explorer view:

To connect the connection to BS2000 select Connect in the context menu of the connection. At the first time or if access authorization is not valid the BS2000 credentials dialog is prompted.
