Projects

Instead of working with the BS2000 Explorer view you can also work with most kinds of Eclipse projects. It is, however, recommended to use BS2000 Remote Build Projects. Note that Running and Debugging Remote Programs is only possible in projects. Resources in Eclipse projects can be links to remote resources, and this is also supported for remote resources on BS2000 systems.

Furthermore resources of Eclipse projects can be stored locally, e.g. in the workspace or in a source control system like Git or CVS. Remote Compile is also supported for such local resources. However, you need to define corresponding delegates on your BS2000 host.

For defining and configuring a BS2000 Remote Build Project see the following topics:

Sometimes it might be useful to export a whole BS2000 remote build project e.g. for sharing it with colleagues or saving a specified state of project. Therefore Export and Import function is offered, see Export / Import BS2000 Remote Build Projects.
